Review: MAC Mineralise Skinfinish Natural in Medium Plus

Powder is an oily girls best friends. Hence I'm always interested in trying out new powders to find the one that perfectly controls my oily complexion. Most frequently I’ve found that a majority of powders that are excellent at keeping my skin matte and holding my liquid foundation/concealer in place cause my skin appear cakey. Whilst on the other hand those that look natural make me look oily within two hours. I just cannot win. So I decided I would give the Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Plus (a nice match for MAC NC30 skintones) a go and see how it matched up to the ones I’ve used previously. Hoping, praying and wishing it would be better.

On the weekend I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Sydney International Spa and Beauty Expo at the Convention Centre. There were so many amazing exhibitors and makeup artists there - one of which was ORLY. Now I don't know about you, but I rarely see ORLY polishes so when I do happen to get the chance to buy some of their products I go crazy. Unfortunately, do to my current financial circumstances (I. MUST. SAVE. FOR. THAILAND) I couldn't go on a shopping spree as I usually would. However, as luck was on my side ORLY were selling little goodie bags of 10 mini polishes for only $10! What a bargain! So of course I had to pick some for myself and because I wanted to share this amazing deal I picked up two more for you guys!

NOTD: Face Of Australia Castle On A Cloud

It's been a while since I've posted a NOTD so I thought it now would be an appropriate time to do one. Now that I’m interning twice a week and wanting to stay professional, I try to steer clear from my usual bold and over-the-top glitter filled polishes. Although I haven’t been told to not wear these wacky shades, I feel as though they are inappropriate in my desired field of work. Which is actually quite frustrating as a large part of my nail polish collection (blog post here) includes in-your-face bright/glittery polishes. But hey, I guess it’s time to enter the real world and opt for more softer, sensible shades (and leave the fun colours for the weekend). Enter: Face Of Australia’s Castle On A Cloud.  

Lust Have It! August 2013

I seriously cannot fathom how it can be time for another Lust Have It! post - let alone the August LHI one. This year has blown past so fast, why the hell does the time go?! Anyways, this month's LHI was all about Celebration. Celebration for not only LHI for turning 2 this month, but celebration for us as the products in this box are fantastic!
