Benefit Christmas Gift Packs: Crescent Row Fragrances & High Flyin' Glosses

Still looking for the perfect christmas ideas for a girl-friend, your sister, mother or maybe just looking for a way to spoil yourself during the holiday season? Then look no further than these two Benefit holiday gift sets - Crescent Row Fragrances Gift Pack & High Flyin' Glosses Gift Set! Not only are these beautifully packaged (just like all other Benefit's products) they're mini sized! Now, I don't know about you, but for me whenever I see a mini sized version of a product (especially when they're in a set) I go berserk. I'm a total sucker for these miniature sized products because you're able to test try them without spending a truckload for something that you may end up hating - also most mini sized products do come in sets so you can try out many different versions of the same product to decipher which you like best!

The Cresent Row Fragrance Set for Holiday 2012 features for beautifully packaged mini perfumes from Benefit's permanent line. The four fragrances included in the set are; Laugh With Me Lee Lee, My Place Or Yours Gina, Ring My Bella and the newest fragrance See & Be Seen Sasha. Not only is the packaging of the actual perfume bottles stunning, the box that they come in are amazingly designed. Each perfume is in it's own little window with a different background to suit - I can see myself hoarding the box just because it looks so beautiful haha!

Each of these mini sized perfumes are 0.34 fl oz (10mL) in comparison to the full size perfumes which are 1.0 fl oz each (30mL), making these exactly 1/3 of a full sized bottle. In australia one of these Benefit full sized perfumes will set you back $59 (in Myer - a tad cheaper on ASOS.com), however you can grab this whole set for $59, which means you're actually receiving more product 40mL of perfume instead just 30mL for one! Which I think is a pretty good deal, considering you can test out which fragrance you like the best and then splurge on buying the full size if you like it that much. Also, because they're such a great size you can chuck them into your handbag and take it with you, without the hassle of actually carrying a full-sized bottle of perfume!

Onto the actual scent of the fragrances, Benefit describes them to be:

- Laugh With Me LeeLeewoody floral

Top notes: cassis, melon, citrus.
Middle notes: black violet, lily, jasmine.
Bottom notes: blonde wood, amber, sandal.

- My Place Or Yours Ginawoody oriental

Top notes: pink pepper, bergamot, tangerine
Middle notes: peony, wild raspberry, white lily
Bottom notes: patchouli, tonka bean, vanilla bean

- Ring My Bellafruity floral – sweetly seductive

Top notes: pink rose petals, soft lily, summer daisy
Middle notes: Egyptian jasmine, creamy peony
Bottom notes: white patchouli, vanilla tincture, white musk

- See & Be Seen Sashadaring & captivating floral

Top notes: orange flower absolute, apricot, pink freesia
Middle notes: ylang ylang, tiare flower, white peony, jasmine sambac
Base notes: crystal amber, liquid musk, vanilla

Unlike the full sized perfumes, these mini's unfortunately don't have a spray pump - instead you have take the cap off and tip out a little bit onto the skin for application. Now, depending on your preferences some people will hate this kind of application and it will discourage them to buy it, however it doesn't really bother me. It only takes a few more seconds to use, and although it can get a little messy it does the job. Oh and because these bottles do open up you're able to play around and mix the fragrances together to make up your own scent!

Tips & Tricks: Crescent Row fragrances are "blendable,"
allowing you to mix fragrances to suit any mood or occasion!

All four fragrances smell spot on with their descriptions. So if you're a lover of woody/floral scents then these will be a big hit with you. All four fragrances are quite lovely and not too overpowering - I absolutely hate perfumes that are so strong they end up making you have a headache! It's a tough choice but I think my two favourites of the bunch would have to be Laugh With Me LeeLee and Ring My Bella.

If you haven't had the chance to smell these yet I strongly encourage you to do so, they smell like heaven in a bottle!

Now onto the High Flyin' Glosses Holiday set for 2012. This set features six mini sized tubes of Benefit's Ultra Plush Lip Glosses. If you haven't heard of these lip glosses before, they are essentially Benefit's blush shades turned into lip gloss form, so now you can wear your favourite Benefit blush colour on your lips as well! The set includes CORALista, Dallas, Bella Bamba, Hoola, Sugarbomb, and Dandelion.

As most of you know I'm not a very big lip gloss fan as I gravitate more towards less stickier products like lip balms or lipsticks. Surprisingly though, these are not very sticky at all, in fact they are quite balm-like and moisturising! The only downside to these lip glosses are that they are quite natural looking and sheer on the lips. But they are able to give your lips a more vibrant and glowy look. Oh and did I mention that these smell incredible as well?! There's nothing better than having a fun fruity smell applied to your lips ...unless of course you hate fruity scents haha.

The lip glosses are incased in a squeezey tube with an angled tip for easier application. Although I rather an actual wand for application because of my lip piercing it's much easier, this tube isn't that hard to manoeuvre. These mini's are 0.22 fl oz (6.5mL) and cost $49 within Australia, whilst one full-sized tube is 0.50 fl oz (15mL) and $26 - which is another great way to test out all the shades. Again, these are great to chuck into your handbag and to use on a daily basis. Because of the sheerness, all the shades are quite wearable and you're certain to find one that best suits your skin tone.

Benefit describes each shade to be:

Dandelionsoft pearly pink
Dallasdusty rose
Sugarbombshimmering pinky nude
CORALista: sheer coral
Bella Bambasheer bright watermelon
Hoolashimmering golden nude

My favourites from the bunch are definitely Sugarbomb and Dandelion! This set is certainly a winner if you're looking to buy a gift for someone but not quite sure what their preferences are - because it does come with an assortment of shades they're bound to end up liking a few!

As always thank you so much for reading - let me know what you think about these gift sets and have you bought for your friends this Christmas!

**Both gift sets were sent to me for consideration. All opinions and judgements are 100% my own with no biases and I did not need to review them if I didn't think they were  of good quality.

  9. The fragrances sound so nice!!! I've never tried the Benefit fragrances before, but the packaging looks adorable. And mixing the scents is a great idea! I know you can do that with Jo Malone perfumes and there are some really beautiful combinations!
