So you've been reading my posts recently, you will remember me saying that I just started my one month spending ban. Because of this, my boyfriend decided to surprise me with a couple of goodies that he thought I would like. Obviously he knows me too well (or he has a great memory), because I'm absolutely in love with these products!
I've recently been obsessed with Soap & Glory products to the point where I'm looking through their products every night deciding which products I want to get my hands on first. I definitely want to try out all their products as all they sound delightful, but to start my S&G collection, Michael (my bf) purchased Hand Food which is the popular S&G hand cream. I instantly fell in love with this hand cream - it's extremely moisturising, absorbs fast and smells fantastic. All things a great hand cream should do! I can already see myself using up the whole tube within a couple of weeks!
Michael also went into Cosmetics Fragrance Direct and bought a couple of different products. Because I have chapped lips almost 24/7 it's no surprise I have a big soft spot for lip balms. I remember mentioning on several occasions that I wanted to get my hands on more Burt's Bess lip balms as I've been loving the one I'm currently using. Thank god, boys can sometimes take hints and can actually remember what we say because he bought me a 4 pack of mixed Burt's Bees lip balms!
These lip balms came with this extremely adorable tin that fits all 4 balms. I don't think I will be carrying all four balms with me everywhere, but the tin is cute, cute, cute!
The next 4 products I was most impressed with, because I'm actually quite shocked about how much Michael knows me. Although he's not a massive fan of super bright nails, he knows I adore them. He also thinks my nail polish collection is out of control, but because I talk about adding more polishes to my Essie nail polishes collection so often, he finally decided to shut me up by buying me a few more! I absolutely love the colours he choose, and I cannot wait to start wearing them!
Oh and he also bought a glitter nail polish from Essence which looks astounding. I doubt he bought this polish from CFD, he probably went to Priceline or Target for this one.
Because I don't have a large collection of lipsticks (SARCASM) Michael thought I would like this bright barbie pink toned lipstick. This Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick is Stormy Pink and I have heard quite a few raves about this product, so I cannot wait to wear it out. As you can already see from the swatch it looks amazing already!
And lastly, he bought the Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Eyeshadow for brown eyes. Michael said he bought this on a whim he wasn't sure if I would like this but he said it reminded him of me due to all the "boring brown shades", haha. Well at least he knows I like browns/neutrals. This is a lovely palette though, nice and compact and a great variety of shades including shimmers and mattes (most shimmers though).
The wear time of these were pretty impressive. They lasted about 6 hours on my lids with no creases whist I was at work. I did use a primer though, but still impressive none the less. It was the first time trying out any Physician's Formula eyeshadows so I didn't really know what to expect either haha.
I definitely feel quite special at the moment. I think it's such a lovely gesture when someone surprises you with a gift or two for no reason what so ever. I do feel a little guilty though, because I feel as though I've cheated on my no spending ban even though I wasn't the one who was spending money!
